Stupid day?

Part I. The Hippos

I meet him on the way back from the lab in Metro Yugo zapatnaya yesterday evening. His hood was hung on the hook of the newspapers/magazines stall. I walked to the kiosk and bought him back without thinking!

Tadaa..he is not a human..He is the birthday present I bought for myself - The BABY hippo!



Well...90% of my reason of buying this lil hippo is because Jenna has her BIG boy hippo! Now..I have the smaller version with shirt~ and my lil baby hippo can officially join the safari next door everyday! Now..baby hippo is happily playing in the safari next door..

wakakakaka~!!!! So cute right?!?!


Part II. 5 minutes Cinderella

Since it's my birthday..of course we have some 'makan' outing.

Today we all (the girls in my block) went to the torrogrill in Universitet shopping mall for lunch. It's to celebrate my birthday which is a few days ago and an advance celebration for my roommate - yk's birthday.

I was quite excited since we got to change our flight tickets back to Malaysia. So...I decided to do some stupid things wear nicer...
I stood infront my wardrobe for quite some minutes and in the end I decided to wear my flowery dress!
Tadaa....
Then I packed everything include camera..shouted out very loud and asked people to 'wear-nice-nice' together with me..

Just before I wore my white doll-shoes...Everyone came out with jeans and jackets..

" Weather forecast is rainy day!"

This sentence changed my whole day...I faster rushed back to my room, changed back my jeans and shirt, put on my jacket, came out with my sport shoes and met them downstairs..

What a day...I didn't get to wear my dress!!! @@

It had been some time since I last blogged. I just got my credits for surgery and public health and I'm officially in my so-called exam study break now. Dean office just announced the exam schedule and half of the groups are having their 1st exam tomorrow. That is super crazy!!

Time flies and there are so many things happened around me everyday.
- I went to PFU student's spring festival on the 1st of May.
- I got flu around the victory day period.
- I went to Igor Moiseyev's dance concert.
- Sasha and Angelina tried hard to curl my hair before the pushkin linguistic concert.
- I sang high pitch song (which is the poem by Pushkin) by Glinka in the linguistic concert!
- I had epigastric pain on my birthday.
.
.
.
.

etc...etc...

But...

I'm still bored as usual! And I have no mood to blog!!! *sob sob*

Going to the lab tomorrow to finish up my abstract and slide readings. Hopefully everything can be done ASAP. Can't wait for my coming summer holiday!

lotus prose

It was in my chinese textbook last time...

爱莲说 《Ai Lian Shuo》
Ai = love
Lian = Lotus
Shuo = talk/tales/prose

水陆草木之花，可爱者甚蕃。晋陶渊明独爱菊。自李唐来，世人甚爱牡丹。予独爱莲之出淤泥而不染，濯清涟而不妖，中通外直，不蔓不枝，香远益清，亭亭净植，可远观而不可亵玩焉。

予谓菊，花之隐逸者也；牡丹，花之富贵者也；莲，花之君子者也。噫！菊之爱，陶后鲜有闻。莲之爱，同予者何人？牡丹之爱，宜乎众矣。

There are many lovely flowers in the world. Tao Yuanming in Jin Dynasty loved only chrysanthemum. Since Tang Dynasty, most of the people likes peony. But I personally admire lotus, which remains clean and pure even it grows from the mud. It bathes in clear water but not coquettish. Its stem is hollow and straight, without any entwining branches Its delicate fragrance reaches out far. It can be only appreciated from far but not touched blasphemously.

I think that the chrysanthemum is like a recluse while the peony is signifying wealth to people and the lotus is undoubtedly the sovereign. After Tao Yuanming, chrysanthemum lovers were seldom found.
Who shows the enthusiasm in the lotus in the same way as I do?
But peony? Almost everybody loves it.

I finished my dermatology final exam, neurology and obstetrics credit tests!


This is a sunny sunday with newborn babies in the ward.

It had been a tough month for me. Three unrelated postings in a month with tons of things to read. But I really enjoyed to be a medical student, to see and learn new things everyday. Tough cycle ended and finally tomorrow will be my surgery posting. Hopefully I can make full use of this one whole month to prepare for the coming final exams and finish my current research project! Aza!!

It's weekend again!!
I'm having a really tiring cycle this month, Neurology, Dermatology and Obstetric together.

There are so many things to do. Medicine is not an easy-going course. We are responsible for people's life. I'm trying to stretch myself to the best..trying as much as I can...but sometimes I doubted myself too..
What about you?Do you believe in yourself?

When someone tells you that you can't do something...

Look around...

Consider all options...

Then GO for it!

Use all the things god gave you...
